Getting Here

From SFO and the Peninsula

Take US-101 North towards San Francisco. When you approach the turnoff for I-80 (Bay Bridge), stay to the LEFT and continue on US-101. Take the Octavia Blvd exit, then after several blocks, turn left onto Fell St. Continue on Fell until you approach Stanyan Street. Stay in the far right lane (important) and follow the signs pointing to Stanyan. Turn left onto Stanyan, and continue on to Parnassus (a few blocks past Haight St). Turn right on Parnassus Avenue and at the top of the hill you will arrive at UCSF. Hourly visitor parking is available on the right at Milberry Union. Cross the street to get to the Medical Sciences Building.

From the East Bay

Take the Bay Bridge (I-80) Westbound towards San Francisco. Follow the signs to US-101 North. Take the Octavia Blvd exit, then after several blocks, turn left onto Fell St. Continue on Fell until you approach Stanyan Street. From the North Bay

Take the Golden Gate Bridge towards San Francisco (US-101 South). Take the first turnoff to Park Presidio. Continue until you get to Fulton St. Turn left on Fulton, then right on Stanyan. Continue to Parnassus, then turn right. At the top of the hill you will arrive at UCSF. Hourly visitor parking is available on the left at Milberry Union. Cross the street to get to the Medical Sciences Building.

Public Transit

BART: Take BART to a downtown SF stop (i.e. Embarcadero, Montgomery, Powell St, or Civic Center). Go upstairs to a Muni Metro station, located one level up. Take an outbound N-Judah toward Ocean Beach. Get off at the UC Medical Center stop (Irving & Arguello). Enter the parking garage and take the elevators to Parnassus Avenue. Cross the street to get to the Medical Sciences Building.

MUNI: 6-Parnassus and 43-Masonic buses go directly to the Medical Sciences Building; the 71-Noriega bus drops off at Lincoln & Arguello, about one block away from campus. The outbound N-Judah line stops at UC Medical Center (see BART instructions above).
